Water Care 101
Many new spa owners are worried about water treatment, but don’t sweat it, you won’t have to become a chemist to enjoy a crystal clean spa!
Hot tub water needs two main things: balanced pH and sanitizer. All hot tub owners need water testing strips, which are relatively inexpensive, and one pack can last a long time.
How to Balance Your WaterTips on filling up your hot tub
Filling your spa is simple. Place your garden hose to the water enters the spa through the filter compartment. It is recommended to fill your spa until the water line is 6 inches below the bar top, and/or 6 inches above the highest jet. Keep in mind how many people will be using the spa at one time to account for the volume displacement.

It’s easier than ever to set your desired filter modes using the one-stop control panel! You can set your filtration system to run at your desired intervals with just a few clicks on the control panel. We made a quick video to break it down!
Filter Modes & LightsHow do I work the lights?
No relaxing spa night or backyard party is complete without mood lighting. It’s easy to work your light settings from the intuitive control panel. If your spa is from our Premier series, your spa comes with 2 external lights on either side of where the step is placed for safer entry.
Both our Premier and Sport series spas include a multi-color LED light that can stay at solid color or rotate through colors synced to the inside of the tub
Filter Modes & LightsHow fast does it warm up?
Your new spa will reach temperature after about 24 hours!
Depending on conditions, your new spa will heat an average of 2 degrees per hour in a 110v model, and an average of 4 degrees per hour in a 220v model. Most customers find their spas reach their desired temperature around 24 hours after filling and plugging in the spa.
Of course, many factors can affect how long it takes to warm up, including the size of hot tub, temperature of the hose water, if you are in an extreme climate, and more.
How do I work the control panel?
Our intuitive control panel makes it simple to operate your spa all from one place. Here’s a video explaining the basics!
Control Panel OverviewConverting to 220v
To give you a quick breakdown, 110V spas can run either the jets or the heat on high, but cannot run both on high simultaneously. However, you can run the heat and jets on low together, and the spa plugs into a standard outlet without need for additional wiring.
220V spas can run both the heat and the jets on high, but wiring must be done by a licensed electrician. Most hot tubbers do not prefer to run the heat while in the hot tub, since your water won’t slip in temperature much in a normal 30 minute soak, so it is up to your preference.
Learn More About 220vHow do I work the jets?
Ahhh, jets. The best way to unwind from a long day, or even begin your mornings. Luckily, it’s easy to control your spa’s jets by using the control panel. Check out more information from this quick video.
Controlling the JetsInstalling the cover lifter
We highly recommend purchasing a cover lifter with your spa. This makes it easy to uncover and enjoy your spa in just a few seconds, and it keeps the cover clean and off the ground.
Our covers are thermal-locking for maximum energy conservation. This also ensures your spa stays at your desired temperature, so it’s always ready for you to soak! We highly recommend you install the cover lifter before filling your spa. If you have already filled your tub, no problem! You can wait until you drain your spa. Just be sure to store your cover somewhere off of the ground during use in the meantime to keep it clean and prolong its life.
You will need to install the cover lock as well, which is very simple and makes your spa even more energy efficient!
Installing Cover LifterInstalling an ozone kit
An ozonator helps your hot tub’s water stay clean and clear. Ozone is produced from the "free" air surrounding the Ozone Generator by exposing the oxygen (in the air) to a special encapsulated corona discharge unit located inside the cabinet. Ozone helps reduce harmful microorganisms, neutralize viruses, and oxidize water impurities such as detergents, lotions, perfumes, and body oils, thereby keeping your spa water clear, fresh and inviting.
